Custo is the association of Customer Content and Content Marketing Agencies. Custo's objective is to further professionalise the sponsored magazine and company magazine & digital content sector through - among other things - research, sharing expertise and the Custo quality label. Every holder of the Custo quality label meets strict criteria regarding professionalism, independence, solvency and effectiveness.


Custo positions customer media in the market as a fully fledged part of the communication mix. The elaboration of efficiency research contributes to that effect.

Custo is part of the Belgian Association of Communication Companies (, that represents all major communication agencies and provides tools & services that highlight their added value.



Custo is an expertise platform where knowledge on ‘customer content and content marketing' is being gathered and made available. Custo upholds the interests of its members and their clients by promoting the business traffic between them (among other things with a deontological code, a guide for pitches and type contracts). Custo also seeks to stimulate market growth with joint promotional activities (newsletter, seminars, workshops, ...).


Measuring is gathering knowledge. That is why Custo has developed its own research tool: the CustoMeter. This is the first tool that does not only measure what a reader does with the magazine, but at the same time what the magazine does to the reader. And that is exactly what marketers need to evaluate objectively their investments in communications.

In this way, the power of the magazine is being measured at the same time as what can be done to improve it.

In 2009 Custo organised its first seminar, presenting customer media as the new marketing miracle.
